This course provides an essential update on the Colorado statutes, rules, and Board policies that govern Certified Public Accountants practicing in the state. Participants will explore the legal and regulatory framework outlined in the Colorado Revised Statutes and the State Board of Accountancy Rules and Regulations, along with relevant Board-adopted policies. The session will examine topics such as CPA licensure and renewal requirements, CPE obligations, firm registration, practice privilege and reciprocity, peer review, and professional conduct. Attendees will also evaluate the organizational structure and functions of the Colorado State Board of Accountancy and identify recent legislative and regulatory developments that may impact professional practice.
