Learning Objectives:
In this intensive two-day session, you will learn of SFAS 109-Accounting for Income Taxes and FASB Interpretation No. 48-Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes. The “Fundamentals” program is a Group-Live Format and contains basic level content. Participants will review a step-by-step FAS 109 approach including analyzing the requirements related to valuation allowances and tax reserves under FIN 48. The course will also cover the international tax and state tax aspects of provisions, compensation and benefit issues, purchase accounting, and interim and intra-period financial reporting topics. It will allow participants to gain an overall understanding of the provision process and related calculations through real-life case studies.
